Docking Bay 33
Terra V, Mk-2

As Space Patrol matured, so did the Terra V. This Spaceship was the second version of the Terra V. Designed by Al Goodman & Herbert Phillips, it was originally presented on Space Patrol in 1952-3. This second version of the ship, with its new drooped fins and barrel fuselage, seemed even more like a Buck Rogers style spaceship than before. It followed the Buck Rogers tradition of not only having streamlined bodies with skid wings but also being capable of horizontal landings and take-off.
Appearing on the show in 1952 the Terra V Mk II continued the tradition of its predecessor and was seen probably more than any other version in the show. Since Space Patrol was broadcast continually from 1950 to 1955 it had an audience in the millions. Every time an episode closed with the happy ending of good conquering evil, it would be the Terra V Mark II which would flash across the screen's as the credits rolled.
.
Viewers could hardly wait until next week when once again, Terra V would take us on another interstellar exciting adventure "in the name of interplanetary justice."
